Research methods in Psychology - all content including inferential and descriptive statistics. Social Influence - research into conformity, social roles, obedience, dispositional and situational explanations of obedience, resistance to social influence, minority influence and processes of social change. |

Attachment - biological and learning explanations of attachment, stages of attachment, types of attachment, monotropic theory and maternal deprivation, the influence of attachment on childhood and adult relationships, cultural variations and orphan studies. Psychopathology - the characteristics, explanations and treatments of abnormal behaviours including depression, OCD and phobias - using the cognitive, biological and behaviourist approaches. Memory - Research into short term memory and long term memory, factors affecting memory, issues with eye witness testimonies and the cognitive interview. |

Biopsychology - all content including the nervous system, the endocrine system, fight or flight system, synaptic transmission, lateralisation and localisation of the brain, brain scans and post mortems and biological rhythms. Revision of topics and exam practice. |

Issues and Debates in Psychology - cultural and gender bias, free will vs determinism, nature vs nature debate, idiographic approaches and nomothetic approaches, reductionism vs holism, ethical implications in psychological research. Gender - explanations for gender development including Biological explanation, Social Learning theory, Cognitive and Psychodynamic approach, Androgyny, Gender Dysphoria, abnormal chromosomal development e.g. Turners and Klinefelter's Syndrome. Schizophrenia - symptoms and classifications, Biological, Psychodynamic and Cognitive explanations and treatments and token economies. |
