School's Good Life Charter and BDA

We are really excited that some students in KS3 at BDA have been working with Global Action Plan this year on the Schools’ Good Life Charter programme. This programme is supporting young people in Hammersmith and Fulham to explore the impacts of over-consumption on people and the planet.

We have been designing our own Schools’ Good Life Charter to help our school community to lead happier, more sustainable lives.

As part of our work, we have been running two projects this year:

  1. Firstly, we have created a nature garden on the school site where we are growing our own fruit, vegetables, and flowers;
  2. Secondly, we are running a campaign to help all of KS3 reduce their usage of single-use plastic bottles and ensuring all the plastic we do use is recycled.

The project is kindly funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Everyone has a role to play in taking climate action and we are happy to be part of this here at BDA with Global Action Plan!
