Ark Burlington Danes Academy students made headlines around the country on GCSE Results Day, celebrating their excellent grades. Following a record-breaking KS5 results day on Tuesday, the press were in attendance to see our Year 11 students collect their results.
Students were interviewed and photographed by journalists for an article that was syndicated in papers across the UK, including London's Evening Standard. Photos of our delighted students were featured on the front page of the BBC app, and on the webpages of the Guardian, the Independent and the Daily Mail.
It has been a wonderful week for students at BDA, with half our Year 13s gaining admission to Russell Group universities - that's higher than the proportion of private school students who achieve those destinations. Alongside our students who won places at Oxford, UCL, Imperial and Durham, 67% gained admission to the top third of universities in the country. We are hugely proud of our Year 13s' excellent achievements.
We are also delighted to welcome record numbers of our Year 11s back into our high-achieving Sixth Form this September and look forward to supporting them on their journey to the best universities and careers in the country.
