On beautiful sunny Thursday afternoon, the Y8 cricket team played against arch rivals Latymer Upper School at the impeccable grounds of Wood Lane. On paper, some would say that it was a clash between David and Goliath.

Captain Jack won the toss and opted to bowl first. On a flat and dry wicket it did shock Mr Lima! The late Ritchie Benaud would have definitely been screaming to bat. Nevertheless the year 8 bowling attack managed to reduce an organised LUS batting team to 87 runs from 20 overs.

With 60 runs being the teams top score this season, it was always going to take a monumental effort to try and chase down these runs. Nevertheless a wonderful knock by captain Jack (29) supported by solid performances by Usher, Chevar and Oliver meant that the boys went on to win the game with 2 wickets to spare.
