Sixth Formers Depart for India

Tuesday 03 December 2013

BDA Sixth Form students are today heading off for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, visiting one of the world’s most vibrant and fascinating countries, India.

As well as taking in the spectacular sights, sounds and tastes of the nation, the group will be dedicating a great deal of time to working with SKSN, a residential school that supports the needs of children affected by polio.

The students, led by Miss Stone, will arrive at their hotel this evening and spend the next two days exploring central Delhi before travelling by one of India’s renowned overnight trains to SKSN. They will stay with the organisation until the 27th, where they will teach and also have the chance to sightsee in the city of Jodhpur. They will return to Delhi on the 28th and depart for the UK on the 29th.

We wish them all the best on what is sure to be an unforgettable experience for everybody concerned. See Academy News in the coming weeks for a report on the group’s activities.
