Rave Review for Shakespeare Performance
"This was a funny, joyous and skilfully performed production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved together."
At Ark Burlington Danes we have been fortunate enough to work with the Shakespeare Schools Fuondation and participate in their annual festival for several years. SSF is a cultural education charity that exists to instil curiosity and empathy, aspiration and self-esteem, literacy and teamwork.
Students from Burlington Danes worked together with Head of Drama, Mr Brooks, to adapt and stage a performance of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Following months of rehearsal, the talented students from Years 7 to 11 performed their work at RADA Studio Theatre, a professional stage in central London.
Whilst we knew straightaway that it was a hit, the official review has confirmed the excellent teamwork shown by the group, as well as the humour and professionalism in their piece.

We are very proud of the students who took part and look forward to next year's performance!
