London's Urban Debate League

Ms Forsyth: On Tuesday evening Burlington Danes hosted the second round of the London Urban Debate League.
Two teams (plus extras) of year 7 and 8 students participated in the competition debating against three other schools on two motions - firstly, that school holidays should be shorter and secondly, that countries with poor human rights records should not be allowed to host the Olympic Games.
The students did a fantastic job against some tough competition and in the second debate both Burlington Danes' teams won!
Well done to all and in particular to the winning team members (1) Ilias, Abubakar and Omar and (2) Aishni, James and Abeselom. Special mention
