Ark proposal to bring together Burlington Danes Primary and Swift Primary Academies
Monday 01 November 2021
Over the past few years, there has been a growing oversupply of primary places in Hammersmith and Fulham. The borough currently has an oversupply at Reception level of nearly 20% – 8% higher than the London average.
In response to this, Ark is proposing to bring together Burlington Danes Primary Academy and Swift Primary Academy, to create one two-form entry primary school on the EdCity site from September 2023. Practically, this means we are formally consulting on:
- The proposal to amend Ark Burlington Danes Academy’s age range from 3-19 to 11-19 (and closing Reception admissions) from September 2023
- To vary Ark Swift Primary Academy’s funding agreement to rename the school from September 2023. We are currently proposing that the name is Ark White City Primary Academy
- Ark is also consulting to name Ark Swift, Ark Conway and Ark Bentworth as named feeders to Ark Burlington Danes Academy from September 2023
The consultation period runs from Monday 1 November to Sunday 12 December. Please see our consultation pages for more information and to submit any feedback you might have.
Included in this consultation is the specific proposal to amend BDA’s admissions policy – amending the age range, and naming the three local Ark primaries as feeder schools. Please find more information about this proposal under the Admissions section of the BDA website.
