Secondary School Entrance Changes

From Monday 14th January our entrance on Wood Lane will be open to students only until 8:55am. Students will also leave via this entrance as usual at the end of the school day. Any students arriving after 8.55am will have to enter via the Du Cane Road entrance and register at the all-through reception, which is located in the Primary. They will then be escorted to their lessons.

All visitors, parents and guests will arrive and leave via the Du Cane Raod entrance, at all times and also check in to the all-through reception.

The all-through reception is reached by following the pavement around to the left and entering the primary building.

Last Wednesday, a team of five Year 10 students visited the Loftus Road stadium to take part in the first stage of The  Enterprise Challenge.  The scheme is an annual event, run by The Premier League and supported by the Department of Business. The completion gives students the chance to develop their knowledge of principles of Business and self-employment.

On the day, the teams were assigned the task of thinking of innovative ideas to attract more families to QPR home games. They then had to present their ideas to a panel of judges made up of local Business people.

Despite facing tough completion from six other  teams - including  Phoenix High School and Hammersmith academy - the judges decided Burlington Danes Academy had produced the strongest presentation and announced them the winners.

Jordan Bailey, Jayden Ritchie, Yonis Ahmed, Parvez Miah and Mohamed Jamal, will now go forward to represent QPR in the next stage of the competition, taking place at the Emirates Stadium on Monday 23rd of March.  Congratulations to the boys for their superb efforts and good luck in the next round!
