A BIT OF CULTURE: BDA DOES BARCELONA
Before half term 29 year 10 Spanish students and 3 very lucky members of staff flew off to Barcelona for a three day trip to immerse themselves in Spanish language and culture.
They were able to visit some of the most famous Spanish sites, including Gaudi’s unfinished Sagrada Família, the beautiful Park Güell and the world famous Camp Nou stadium. Amongst their busy schedule they did manage to also find some time to chill out at the beach and enjoy the brilliant weather!
All of the students were really excellent on the trip and represented ARK BDA not only through their excellent behaviour but also their willingness to get stuck into Spanish culture: all students tried very hard to speak as much Spanish as they could, and some even joined the teachers for a traditional lunch of paella in the famous La Boqueria market.
Hopefully the trip will provide not just good memories for all involved but also the motivation to prepare especially carefully for the upcoming Spanish speaking exams which start on Wednesday 1st July!
