Secondary School Entrance Changes
From Monday 14th January our entrance on Wood Lane will be open to students only until 8:55am. Students will also leave via this entrance as usual at the end of the school day. Any students arriving after 8.55am will have to enter via the Du Cane Road entrance and register at the all-through reception, which is located in the Primary. They will then be escorted to their lessons.
All visitors, parents and guests will arrive and leave via the Du Cane Raod entrance, at all times and also check in to the all-through reception.
The all-through reception is reached by following the pavement around to the left and entering the primary building.
LIFE AFTER BDA: Y9 TASTER DAY AT LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS
On June 16th 2015, some selected year 9 students were invited on a trip to one of the top universities in the country - the London School of Economics.
We were asked to go to see what is possible to do with an economics degree, or any other degree. It was an amazing opportunity with a lot of us already studying economics at GCSE level.
On this trip we spoke to students who currently go to this university, and they were able to give us lots of advice and information about university life. They answered our questions and reassured us about going to university. Also these students gave us a great tour around the university.
LSE is not the largest of universities, but the students who attended this trip got to learn a lot about life at university and what to expect. We were also given information about living away from home and they discussed the good aspects and areas they would like improved, to help us make the right decision in the future about if we want to go to university. We had a fantastic time! Thank you Ms Reiss and Ms Ingr for taking us.
