Rewards Trip to the London Dungeon

Nine hardworking Year 7 students joined Ms Stone and Mr Cooke on Wednesday for a taste of our city’s grizzly past on a gory tour of the infamous London Dungeon.

As a reward for their efforts in class this half term, the group spent the afternoon learning about medieval torture, living with the plague, White Chapel at the time of Jack the Ripper, and the fictional but terrifying Fleet Street barber, Sweeney Todd.

A drenched Ms Stone, who was soaked during a Tower of London water ride, particularly enjoyed Mr Cooke being called up for demonstrations in the torture chamber, the plague hospital and at the gallows.

All of the students should be proud of their exceptional behaviour – they were a pleasure to accompany and a credit to the school. Special mention must be made of Felix, who impressed us all with his extraordinary French accent whilst on trial in a Victorian court.
