Secondary School Entrance Changes

From Monday 14th January our entrance on Wood Lane will be open to students only until 8:55am. Students will also leave via this entrance as usual at the end of the school day. Any students arriving after 8.55am will have to enter via the Du Cane Road entrance and register at the all-through reception, which is located in the Primary. They will then be escorted to their lessons.

All visitors, parents and guests will arrive and leave via the Du Cane Raod entrance, at all times and also check in to the all-through reception.

The all-through reception is reached by following the pavement around to the left and entering the primary building.

BDA Enterprise at QPR

Mr Goorah: The Year 10 Enterprise team visited QPR this week to speak to several high profile individuals who work behind the scenes of W12s most successful club.

Adam, Ali, Bashir & Redwan (all 10B, pictured) met with the Customer Relationship Manager and the Head of Customer Service of QPR to understand how the football club is run, in order to help them with the nationwide Premier League Enterprise Challenge (PLEC) which they will be entering on behalf of BDA.

The PLEC tasks students aged 14-19 with developing possible solutions to real-life challenges that football clubs face. The Challenge is the annual highlight of the Premier League Enterprise Academy (PLEA), a programme giving young people a unique insight into the running of professional football clubs, learning by using real business examples drawn from their club.

The BDA Enterprise Team will be going up against several other challengers from local schools and societies at the Club heats on Thursday 13th February with the winners going on to represent QPR at the regional semi finals at Aston Villa. The winners of this will then meet the winners from the other regional final at Wembley.

Last year BDA reached the semi finals of the Challenge, but will be looking to go one better this year... Que sera sera!
