Sixth Form Trip to Bloomberg
Mr Whitlock: On Friday 6th December Mr Whitlock took a group of 6th Formers studying Economics and Business to Bloomberg L.P headquarters in London to experience a 'speed networking' event. This gave them the opportunity to talk to five different employees over the course of an hour about what it is like to work in a large global industry.
Bloomberg L.P provides financial software tools such as an analytics and equity trading platform, data services and news to financial companies. It also owns Bloomberg News and a global television network alongside a radio station, various websites and two well-known magazines (Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets).
After the students made some excellent connections and exhausted their questions they finished the event by raiding the amazing free cafeteria which had everything you could ever imagine to eat from popcorn to crisps to jelly beans to fruit to, well, anything! The employees certainly get it good working for a company like Bloomberg.
