Secondary School Entrance Changes

From Monday 14th January our entrance on Wood Lane will be open to students only until 8:55am. Students will also leave via this entrance as usual at the end of the school day. Any students arriving after 8.55am will have to enter via the Du Cane Road entrance and register at the all-through reception, which is located in the Primary. They will then be escorted to their lessons.

All visitors, parents and guests will arrive and leave via the Du Cane Raod entrance, at all times and also check in to the all-through reception.

The all-through reception is reached by following the pavement around to the left and entering the primary building.

The Oxbridge Project on current affairs

Sadek, 8B: This Tuesday afternoon, the Oxbridge Project had a current affairs meeting. During this discussion, we read and debated over an article based on Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi winning the Nobel Peace Prize. We debated some challenging questions such as whether these winners were the right choice for the prize and whether the positive impact someone had was affected by their age.

Darnell approved of Malala getting the prize because she is an 'inspiration'. However, Alfie thought that the shooting was the starting and most significant event that gave her international recognition.

Finally, the winner of the Oxbridge Project summer essay competition was Abubakr in 9B, who won a Google Nexus 7 tablet. Hajar, Ezra, Sadek, Omar and Felix were highly commended on their essays.
