Secondary School Entrance Changes

From Monday 14th January our entrance on Wood Lane will be open to students only until 8:55am. Students will also leave via this entrance as usual at the end of the school day. Any students arriving after 8.55am will have to enter via the Du Cane Road entrance and register at the all-through reception, which is located in the Primary. They will then be escorted to their lessons.

All visitors, parents and guests will arrive and leave via the Du Cane Raod entrance, at all times and also check in to the all-through reception.

The all-through reception is reached by following the pavement around to the left and entering the primary building.

The wonderful thing about  Christmas time is spending time in  the company of your loved ones and family.   As someone commented, stop taking “selfies” and instead create “givies” in the spirit of Christmas!

Have a really happy Christmas and holiday season, stay safe, read a book or three, do some Hegarty Maths and we look forward to seeing you again on Wednesday 3rd January.

On a serious note, I was reminded this week at the moving Grenfell service of national remembrance and mourning at St Paul’s Cathedral  that for some in our community this Christmas will be hard and painful.  Our hearts and prayers go out to them.

Thank you to Adam and Demi from Y13 who accompanied me, they were great company and splendid ambassadors for the school.
