ACADEMY GOALS: INVESTOR IN CAREERS
We are proud to announce that Ark Burlington Danes Academy is working towards gaining the professional accreditation Investor in Careers (IiC).
To receive the IiC award, a school needs to demonstrate a commitment to, and evidence of, providing impartial, independent careers education, information, advice and guidance to its students. A pledge the Academy takes very seriously.
Investor in Careers is one of the highest accolades an organisation can receive for excellence in this area of work. The award is about improving students’ career awareness, providing them with access to a broad range of opportunities, raising their aspirations and working with them to ensure they achieve their full potential.
Attaining this award is no mean feat and the school’s career professionals, Mrs Clare Finnett and Mrs Beth Gregory will be consulting with all the school’s stakeholders, including students, teachers, parents, governing body and link employers to make Ark BDA’s careers entitlement the best possible.
We are close to attaining Stage One of the IiC’s three stage process and we hope to be awarded the full accreditation by July 2017.
