Sixth Form university Residential

Ms Megaw: This year’s university residential for sixth formers was at the established Russell Group University of Nottingham. Fifty sixth formers attended the two days of lectures, campus tours and UCAS support, including staying overnight in residential halls and eating in the student areas.

Students were able to experience how it felt to be at university, attending an engaging morning lecture on the philosophical debate of whether it was right to eat meat. In true student life fashion, the trip also included games on the field, with an especially memorable and hard fought rounders match, and a trip to the local bowling arcade, where students pitched their metal against the bowling sensation that is Mr Jennings.

The sixth formers showed both maturity and great positive attitudes to really gain the most out of the experience. It was a fantastic end to the summer term.
