Secondary School Entrance Changes

From Monday 14th January our entrance on Wood Lane will be open to students only until 8:55am. Students will also leave via this entrance as usual at the end of the school day. Any students arriving after 8.55am will have to enter via the Du Cane Road entrance and register at the all-through reception, which is located in the Primary. They will then be escorted to their lessons.

All visitors, parents and guests will arrive and leave via the Du Cane Raod entrance, at all times and also check in to the all-through reception.

The all-through reception is reached by following the pavement around to the left and entering the primary building.

BDA are taking part in The Linnean Society of London’s BioMedia Meltdown Competition and we are asking our KS3 students to produce a piece of creative media looking at Ecosystems and/or Evolution.

The competition gives students the opportunity to show off their understanding of science using their creative skills, and win some amazing prizes.

Entries will be accepted in a wide variety of media (including videos, blogs, poems, short stories, photos, sculptures, songs and paintings) and you could explore a range of scientific ideas such as food webs, human food security, extinction, natural selection, biodiversity or gene banks.

Prizes include £500 for the school; trips to the zoo; art supplies; science goodies and much more!

On Monday, Ms Bell’s Year 8s took part in a “Street Art” workshop as part of the competition…. (see images attached)
