Ark Burlington Danes Becomes An All-Through Academy

Ark Burlington Danes Academy officially became an all-through academy this week as it opened its doors to two new reception classes on Monday 14th September 2015.
Ark Burlington Danes Primary Academy is a new school that will provide an outstanding education for children aged between 3 and 11 years old. This week, 45 children aged 4 started at their brand new school on the secondary school site, arriving on Monday morning in their Burlington Danes uniform along with their proud parents.
The children have been enjoying their learning this week, especially phonics and counting, and they have taken advantage of their dedicated outdoor space to play with water and sand. New routines have helped the children to settle in and teachers at the primary school say that the children especially enjoy dancing the tidy up rhumba!
Primary Principal, Lisa Crispin said:

“All the planning and preparation has finally come to fruition and I am delighted to welcome our first reception classes to Ark Burlington Danes Primary Academy. The children look wonderful in their new uniform and they have quickly settled in to their new school. I would like to thank all the staff at both the primary and secondary school for their hard
work and dedication to make the all-through academy a success and for providing outstanding educational experiences for our students.”

Michael Ribton, Principal of Ark Burlington Danes Academy, said,

“We are pleased and proud to welcome the new primary school children into the Ark Burlington Danes family. The all-through academy will enable us to deliver student-centred learning opportunities for children throughout their school career and will ensure smooth transitions between each Key Stage.”

Places are still available for reception-aged children at Ark Burlington Danes Primary Academy. Parents who are interested in a place for their child should contact the school directly.
