Cookery

Cooking at Burlington Danes sits within the Creative Design Faculty but is somewhat separate from it. Our course seeks to teach students to cook healthy food in their home and adult lives, and to teach this in an applied and practical manner. We want our children to learn a range of recipes and cookery skills that will enable them to cook responsibly and economically in adult life.

Student grades in cooking are reported at the end of the year, as this is the point at which all students have completed the course and therefore the grades can be reported fairly.

Listed below are the week by week recipes you can expect your child to cook in KS3 classes at Burlington Danes Academy.
